Hello. Just recently I uninstalled EffectsLab Pro from my really old and slow computer to then install it onto my new laptop running windows 7. Everything seemed fine. It installed, I opened it, it loaded all of the presets, and then it just crashed. I tried opening it again, and every time I do, it immediately crashes. Does anyone know what's wrong? Is EffectsLab Pro not compatible with Windows 7 or something? I would really like to have it on my laptop, as my old computer is an absolute dinosaur. Any help is appreciated.

Also, I have Quicktime 7.6.9 and Dirctx 11, which I believe are all of the latest versions.

EffectsLab is compatible with Windows 7. At what point during the launch does it crash, exactly? Do you get any error messages or anything?

It crashes almost immediately after it opens up. It gets through the splash screen and gets to the program, but then crashes, no error messages. It doesn't even get to the project quick link screen asking you what you want to do. It's up for a split second, then down.

Just tried a clean reinstall. It still doesn't work. Any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Today I tried installing onto my family's new desktop computer, and it worked. So I think I know what the problem is. When I installed it on the desktop, it supposedly "crashed" as before, but then it came back with an activation window, with three different choices. I never got this window on my laptop. So I think all the problem is is that I need to activate it...but I don't know how, since that window doesn't show up. Can anyone help?
Also my laptop has a different email address associated with it unlike my family's new desktop (which was the email I originally purchased this product with). Is this the problem? Do I need to somehow change the email address associated with my purchase to match my current computer's email address? If so how would I do that?

Well i thought I should rap this problem up just in case anyone else runs into the same problem. I got it working. Since I only had to figure out how to activate Effectslab (since the activation window wasn't coming up) I decided to look into the "FXHome Effectslab Pro" folder, and there was an activation icon. I just double clicked that and the activation window came up. So now it's all up and running!
