only renders beggining

the bar things are at start to finish.it will render from 20 to 33 seconds of it out of 2 minutes and 14 seconds.plus the other half of the video on a different file.

it renders 20 to 32 seconds, and then what? It freezes? It crashes? It thinks its finished? A few more details about what is going on will help us determine the cause, and hopefully a solution for you.

it doesnt crash but when i play it the movie just ends at 20-32 as if there wasnt any more left.

Are you sure your start and end markers are at the beginning and end of the video?

So it completes the render process, and you can play back the rendered movie? Sounds like you need to move your out point. While in the program, press P to set the work area to the length of the project, then render.

When you hit the play button in effects lab, does it show you the whole video or just the 7 seconds?

it doesn't notify you hen you press P, as far as making a noise or popping up a message, but you can easily see the actual location of both the In and Out Points in the program, to make sure they are in the correct spots. Can you submit a support ticket and attach the project, please? Also, please explain all the specifics of the format of the video clips you have imported.

Also worth checking: have you updated your Quicktime and DirectX (if on Windows)? Does it matter whatcontainer you render to (switching from .mov to .avi in the Render Settings, for example)?

the in and out points are the render area selection right?if so then yes they are in the right position.the formats are all avi.also do you want me to send the rendered movie or the project?
