Haven't been on here in awhile (that's how the busy working life works!), but I have a problem I can't solve in EffectsLab. I'm working on a historical film about Melvil Dewey, the creator of the Dewey Decimal System. I have a shot where a waiter walks into a dining room, but my PVC camera dolly tracks were left on the floor. I imported the clip in to EffectsLab and created a still from another shot of the dining room where the floor is visible. I imported the still into EffectsLab and put it behind the movie clip. I then created a freehand mask attached to the video clip and animated it in front of the waiter's legs so that the floor part of the still replaced the part of the video clip that showed the PVC pipes. Looks good, except I need to create an 'out point' for the mask. Which I can't find information on. Can someone please help me?

The simplest way is to cut the clip at the frame where the mask is no longer needed, then delete the mask from the portion that doesn't require it.

The second method is to keyframe the position of the mask, so on one frame it is in the position you need, and in the next, it is offscreen.

The third option is to keyframe the Transparency of the mask, rather than its position.

Awesome! Second method works like a charm! I knew it had to be something simple! Thanks, Axe!
