Help making a plugin!

just created some rolling fog using 3d max, read somewhere on one of the forums that someone wanted it. need help turning it into a plugin,took sometime to render too. If anyone can walk me through the plugin creation process I would appreciate it.

For a fog plugin your really gonna need a alpha channel. Hopefully you exported from max as a series of alpha tiffs (or alpha somethings) otherwise you'll probably have to render it again. Once you have a set of alpha tiffs its easy to make it into a plugin. Just download the Plugger from the plugins section, run it, and follow the instructions. You will want to select the "Overlay Ink" type when it asks

Cant you also use add pin.
Theres also some plugger tutorials on the website that may help. biggrin

Add Pin, can be used to remove black from the background, but really it is designed for Light Effects. As a result, Add Pin will give your plug-in a kind of glowing effect; not ideal for a fog plug-in. Also, unless you use alpha channels, you will not have the ability to adjust transparency.

Hopefully you already rendered it with an alpha channel, but if not, you really should.
