i heard a rumour that alamdv is making one, and as you know the price for this product is cheap, so fingures crossed.

Failing that have a look on the forum and search for bluescreen, a lot of people have asked about this and some good answers were given.

Thats right, csb-digital are making a blue screen and composition application called Chromanator.

It should be a great low cost solution.

I heard to that Tarn was going to dress up in spandex with a big blue/green C on his chest and a cape to be the spokesman!

(Don't know why I picked Tarn from the CSB crew but it seemed funny)

Anyway, I can't wait! I am sure it will be great!

Thx Schwar. Now I'm very happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Chromanator is going change everything. Could you tell me, Schwar, when does this program come? After Effects costs 699 dollars, so I hope that this program is not that expensive.

We are hoping its gonna be less than AlamDV2 with a discount for people that have already purchased AlamDV2.

The next update of AlamDV2 should include some cool functions that mean it can work together with Chromanator. Its gonna be a fun time for csb-digital - a rebirth of the company which we hope will raise the money to fund future development of our applications for you guys.

from the website-

Chromanator
www.csb-digital.com/chromanator/

An advanced chroma-key and compositing tool, Chromanator enables you to seamlessly combine several layers of video, images or effects. The different keying techniques (bluescreen, greenscreen, chroma, luminance etc) enable effects and other elements to be inserted realistically into your original video. Compositing has never been easier. Available soon for Windows and MacOSX.

A chromakeying program that is cheap...GREAT!! Now the question is, will it be able to key out some of slightly different colors besides the one you pick? And also will the background image have to take up the entire background or could you take a vido image and put it on say, something the size of a TV? Anyway if CSB makes it, I'll end up getting it...you guys are great.

Any idea on what the release date will be? I would love to get this ASAP. Oh yeah, will csb be coming out with a video/audio program too? I need a cheap program to position sounds in exact places in my films. AKA lightsabers swinging or gunshots, ghostbuster blasters whatever.

There is actually a few free compositing programs out there, ones called axogon composer, it can actually bluescreen and it can be downloaded from http://www.blenderwars.com
Another one is called Zwei-Stein. It does bluescreening fairly well, it can be downloaded at http://thugsatbay.net
Hope this helps.
