If someone can make the Predator disc, wristblade or any other weapon I'd be thrilled. You just gotta love the Predator...

A better plugin would be, something to allow you to be cloaked...or even just a figure that looks like a man. That would be kewl

Well, I do know how to fade from visible to invisible. Also, I know how to make you look semi-transparent. Do you have AE?

I have after effects, but no idea how to use it. I'm not really looking for "semi-transparent", I'm trying for more like a "distortion"... anyone get what I'm saying?

You can achieve this effect by using Adobe Premiere. When you film, use a tripod (or set it on something that will not be moved, i.e. table, chair) and flim about 30 secs. of nothing moving in the scene. If you have a fan blowing a curtian, or wind through trees of something, turn it off or change location because the two backgrounds have to fit perfectly over one another. Then on your cue, move or walk into the shot, do your action and stop recording. Then when you edit it, split the clip at the part where your action starts. The clip where nothing is happening, put that on the bottom layer and your action should go on layer 2. Now, right click on your video in Layer 2 and select Video Options, then Transperecy. Select the Screen Key and bring down the slider to achieve the desired effect. Then maybe add some sort of blur to make it distorted. If you do not have Adobe Premiere you can download the trial at www.adobe.com. Hope I helped!

I was just about to request some Predator plugins when I noticed this post. We desperately need some more of these plugins, especially, as daniel mentioned, of the creature itself. Different actions would be great, as well as possibly a masked head from many angles that could be placed over an actor's.
If anyone does make a Predator, don't forget the shoulder cannon; that weapon is awesome! biggrin

Predator plug-ins are way outta my league. The only way I can do it is to rip the images straight out of a DVD (which I don't have, btw - was it ever released on DVD? But I digress... lol), but that would be big-time copyright violation.

I'll have to leave this to the 3D experts who can create a Predator from scratch - quite a challenging task, I assure you! biggrin

Alien and Predator would be incredibly hard to get or for someone to beauitfully mesh.

Thats one hell of a fantastic photo! biggrin

That photo is of the MacFarlane Alien vs Predator deluxe boxed set. It's pretty neat: you can't really see it from the photo, but the alien's head "shell" is actually translucent, allowing you to "see into it", so to speak. Really cool stuff!
