I am making an explosion plug-in, and I NEED HELP, PLEASE!!!! Axeman told me that for my explosion, if it was real or whatever and not 3d, I could just not make an alpha channel and in the plugger make it "Add" or "Add Pin".. I tried both and I got somewhere...... Not far though. Then when I go into Alamdv and install the plugin, it goes by fine, and then when I put my explosion in a movie or pictures, IT CHANGES COLORS!! It changes and flashes red and blue and green and stuff, when it should really be an orange explosion (the normal color). I mean, why does it do this??? This plug-in is 1 second and 28 frames... The frames are all in order when I am done with the plugger, so they are in order and not out of place. BUt it changes colors when it shouldn't.... WHY? If you need pics of it changing Ill take them, but, you know...... Ill even export a movie with the explosion in it and Ill upload it and show you it changing in action... But, I dont know why it changes color!!!!!!!! HELP ME PLEASE! Help me and I might give you a +1, as well as a thank you. I really need help with this. Bye.

you mustn't use the "Add", use "Add pin" and it should work

Malone: I'll make my sig smaller.

Ada: It is tiff images

Animaster: I have used Add Pin and it still changes color. I've tried Add Pin 3 times now.

Malone: I'll upload it somewhere... But where? I will try Geekshelf maybe, but give me suggestions for other places. The last time I tried my Geocities site, it wouldnt save the site......

If you are using add pin on a real explosion, there should be no alpha channel. Repeat, no alpha channel. A real explosion is semi-transparent, so there is no way to create a proper alpha channel for it.

Delete all your alpha channels if they are still there, and build the plug-in using Add Pin. Sorry for the confusion.

its an explosion I saved from the internet. It still had its background which was black when I added an alpha channel with Overlay Ink and when i just used Black Transparent, and this time with ADD PIN there is no alpha channel. It then has no background, but it changes color.s

Try converting your images to jpeg format, and them building to plug-in using Add Pin. It might help, and it will definitely keep the size of your plug-in file down.

If you can find a place to upload it, that would really help. Otherwise, maybe you could let us know where the original is, since you got it off the net.

All the indications at this point make me think the problem is with the images themselves.
