This is a short movie with X-Wings having a dogfight with a tie fighter. It's my first attempt at using a 3d program (I used Blender). Please tell me what you think. I could use any tips you may have.

Thats a shame, it's took 1 hour to see half of it...

from what i saw i will download the rest tomorrow, i didn't know blender could do that.

looks good, i advise people to watch it to see what blender can do.
i will give a full review when i see it.

( Ps. )

I notice you haven't voted or commented on other peoples films, ( i always try to ask people that upload films here to vote and comment other wise i've found people won't do the same for you, and then you'll never get the input you need. )

That was excellent, a little short but a test no doubt, you did all that in blender ?, i never knew that you could produce them kinda results... gonna download that prog i think...

i know you are doing this as a test but you seem to have have got the visuals and graphics sorted for the scene, you need to extend a little on each cutscene and show more, maybe do a bluescreen effect with a pilot and also put a little story behind it (make it so the death star has targetted earth or something)

also put some good action esque music with it aswell
then it will look even better

hope this helps smile

Well, I just started using it 2 weeks ago, and it was my first 3d app ..So that shows how easy it is too learn. Just follow the Learning Path tutorials on www.blenderwars.com. And if you use alamdv, you already have experience with key framing & stuff. I thought it would be really difficult to learn, but it turned out to be pretty simple.

Wow, that was superb! It had a really strong authentic Star Wars vibe and the quality was amazing. Any plans for a longer sequence?

I got the models off of www.blenderwars.com, but their website is down at the moment because they are remodeling it.. If you read my post here:http://www.csb-digital.com/alamdv/community/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5628, I am trying to find someone who has them available ( I really need them to work on my film this week).

EDIT: Their website is back up now and they have some new models (and a nice layout too)

I thought the lighting was a bit bright sometimes ( 2nd shot the deathstar was almost white )
Apart from that it was good.

This film was great! Master Yoda and Whose Line Is It Now(me) are currently working on a fanfilm that has much "much" more 3d animating and a story line. We hope it turns out good.
lol

Thx
