Cool, nice test the only bad effect was the fire and the side of the plane.

Yeah no sound as yet, I have just bought Pearl Harbour so I might try and nick some engine sounds from that.
It is an early test for the movement, tracers and explosion. The clouds are going to be added when I figure out how to stop them looking crap.
I gave the link for the other one to Davlin when I told him I was attempting a rip off version, I haven't done any work on this since summer, when I have more time I will prolly try and finish it off.
I have been learning 3d studio for a couple of months so I might make my own plane models and do the whole thing from scratch.

Very nice! I would've given it a 5 if it had sound. I really like the camera jitter! Overall, a very professional piece!

Exactly! The camera jitter really made me imagine the loud, bassy sound of a propeller engine in close proximity. I would love to watch this clip with sound added.

Yeah kind of BRUUUM, BRUUUUUUM BLAP BLAP BRUUM sound if that makes any sense.
I have just realised I have combat flight simulator so I might delve into that for some sounds.
I have loads of work to be finished by Monday, but I will try and get a sonically enhanced version up ASAP.

5 stars for u "ottey" bloody great stuff...if it had sound I'd have put on my 'chute....camera shake was a touch of magic...it seemed slightly different the first part from the small section I saw a while ago..I think.
It is another credit to you.
I gave it 5 because I'm assuming a good sound track and u may be too busy to sort out.

I have sorted out a quick and dirty soundtrack, few engines bullets that sort of thing.
I will upload the new file over the top of the old one to save resubmitting it to the cinema.
I will send PM's out when the new file is up......

Quick and dirty sound added, needs some pitch shifting on the engines to stop them sounding like drones, but a bit of sound makes all the difference.
The file size isn't too much bigger either.

excellent, very well done.
some good cg work, and I didn't even think that it truly needed clouds. it already had a late day, couple minutes after sunset look to it. . .
the cg looked so good, that adding the alamdv fire to the plane actually detracted from the rest of it. . .
I gave ya a 5, well done. . .

Hi, Thanks for liking it
By the shooting plugin I assume you mean the tracer fire??? That wasn't actually done in ALAMDV it was a combination of particle systems and visible lights in Cinema 4d, I added a small phaser glow to some of the shots that came close to the camera, but the rest are straight out of C4D.
I'm about to start working on a new animation, should feature more tracers and digital pyrotechnics, some from ALAMDV some from elsewhere.....

I'm working alot with c4d too, maybe if you had some time you could tell me how you set up the light emitters to look so good

The actual tracer element is created from two visible lights, one short and fat the other elongated, the settings for that are created in the visible light tab.
The emmiter was created as a test and speed and rate settings adjusted until the lights came out looking something like tracer bullets they aren't realistic, but they suit the animation okay.
In the scenes with the planes the emmiters were duplicated for each burst of fire, using the start stop setting to control when each one fired.
What version of C4D do you have, I could send you a couple of files with the lights and emmiters in action...
