The word is spreading, as more and more websites announce the release of AlamDV2 to the world...

TechNewsWorld - a large computer-related news website

MacSurfer's Headline News - another collection of up-to-the-minute news articles for the Mac

MacNewz - extensive Mac news website

MacMagazine - a Spanish online magazine for Macs

VideoMaker Online - website for VideoMaker Magazine (needs registration to access site)

Many of you have also noticed Macromedia's announcement of the impending release of Director MX for MacOSX and Windows. We have been wanting to support MacOSX for some time now and Director MX should finally allow us to do so. It won't be an easy path, as MX doesn't even ship until the start of January 2003, so the update is a little way off yet - but rest assured it is coming!

We are working away at the moment on several new programs and a huge AlamDV2 update (version 2.5). More details on all of these will be released gradually over the next month-or-two.

We hope to port all our applications to Director MX and therefore they should be released for MacOSX soon after the Windows releases. Once we have made the jump we will cease any development of AlamDV2 for MacOS9 and none of our new programs will be released on MacOS9.

Yes. Bit odd, that.

A lot of the websites are aimed at Macs, though, so I guess it's only to be expected. Shame, though.

I cannot wait for it to be on OSX!

Seriously. It would make my week. I find it agressive to run FCP3 from OSX and then edit furthur in OS9.2.2. eek

Heres to the release! razz razz razz biggrin
