There is currently a plug-in out there where the glow changes size over two frames and it is looped. The "correct" thing to do is have it so the blade layer does this in three different widths over three frames, also loopable. All attempts I have tried have failed, and it ends up crashing AlamDV. It takes me too long to re-install all my plug-ins after a fatal crash. So, does anyone know how to build this type of plug-in? If so,
this would make the lightsword plug-ins very realistic, much closer to the movies. cool

Animaster made the original plug-in. However, if you look at the films, it
is the blade that flickers in and out and not the glow. I hope this helps. cool

Animaster, you plug-in does what it says, it flickers. (the glow flickers)
If you look at any of the Star Wars films, the glow stays a uniform size and color, it does not flicker. It is the blade part of the lightsaber that
chages thickness from frame to frame which gives it a pulsing effect. I mean no disrespect to you or your plug-in, in fact, I have your plug-in. I am just trying to see if anyone out there knows how to make the white blade grow and shrink in a loopable fashion, thats all. cool

no, the glow flickers. It might seem like the blade flickers, but it automaticly will when you apply it frame by frame. Especially in the older films when they painted on the blades by hand. If you can make the blade size get abselutely smooth you are a genious smile
