Hey for x-mas i got two airsoft micro uzis. They are really nice and look very real once the orange cap is snapped off. See for yourself.
I was wondering what would be the best muzzle flash for these? What about shotguns cuz I got two of those too. A Spas-12 and an 870 Shorty Pump-Shotgun. All help is greatly appreciated.

use Array Star Flash (side view) it's the last one on the plug-ins page. You may want to change the color so just use the plug-ins maker.

Actually the extent of my parent X-mas shopping is them giving me a few hundreds and letting me loose. I wish I could have a "real" x-mas for once......no actually... I don't. That would suck, cuz all of my presents would be sweaters and candy canes. Screw that crap!!!
Oh well anybody think that the M-16 Muzzle Flash would work better than the Star side??
Thanks again and if i could spare force I'd give it to all for help and humor. But I can't...

i think the cinematic muzzle flashes would work best,
the star array and m16 are for rifles

These will definently be in my next movie. I'm doing green screen tests now. I also have 2 guns like this for the bad guy
but mine aren't metal.
My movie is about hitmen (Tarantino style)
I'll keep you posted.

I think you mean 'thuper.'
But anyways, in real life, very few guns have blue muzzle flash . . .
an idea for a plugin . .

A test I did with the cinematic muzzle flash. You need Quicktime 6 to view it.
Just paste it in the URL window.

What I've seen about muzzle flashes on the above mentioned weapons is: A micro-uzi gives the same muzzle flash as an automatic pistol not a big star shaped rifle style one. A Spas-12 has loads of smoke and countless sparks. For the best example of a Spas-12 muzzle flash. look at "A Better Tomorrow 2" in the hotel shootout. A Remington Wingmaster m870 I think has a smaller version of the Spas-12. I use a remington m870 all the time in my latest film. It's so cool.

why'd you get the spring guns? you should've opted for the gas blowback uzi! fully automatic, baby! that would give you some seriously realistic bolt action!
I like the look of your pistol. is that spring too?
for the shotguns, it doesn't really matter if they're spring action or gas blowback.
by the way, my next film I plan on uploading also features a gunfight, for which I purchased a full-auto gas uzi, two semi-auto gas berettas, a spring USP, a spring SOCOM, and a spring glock 26.
I plan on purchasing some shotguns and machine guns soon, anyone have any suggestions? remember, on film, it's all about the look. . .

check out http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/rifle.htm
They have a special going on two shotguns for 60 bucks. It is a Spas-12 and a Shorty 870. They are so awesome and look real up close. All you need is some black spray paint for the tip, it is made of orange plastic

Oh and I am going broke. That is why I didn't get gas guns. I am going the Mecha and Sidey way for the green screen and I dont have all of that fancy cable access money....crap!! I think with a sound effect, a shell casing, and a muzzle flash the untrained eye will be easily fooled...I hope

sweet, thanks for the link!
ah, yes. the ever-present money issue. I know exactly where you're coming from. in my early filmmaking days I used to have budget problems as well.
well man, run some tests in practical applications. that's going to be the best way to tell if it'll look good
