I found the best program to make explosions! The name kinda gives it away... "Explosion Generator" is the name. It is a great tool to make explosions.. If I can get done what I need done, then I'll be submitting about 5 new explosions. Just to show people one of the explosions (in a wierd form), I'll show you. its in a wierd form, because, well, when it exports it shows all the parts of the explosion on one image.. Here it is:

PS. From another forum I just checked, there seems to be a way to make that image multiple images of the explosion to be put into the plugger...

Looks good! This Explosion Generator sounds like a really useful app... the images remind me somewhat of Particle Illusion smile

That doesn't look anything like an explosion.

Seriously, if you're going to make an explosion plug-in, don't waste CSB's bandwidth with fake CG stuff, especially with real ones available. More variations of real explosions is what should be made.

Sidewinder I know you and mecha have posted several explosion plugins and I was wondering where you film these explosions and what you use to make them?

hi guys,
here

not sure if this is the one but here are the links
it looks more like a explosion generator to make sprites for games than to use in video.

I believe sidewinder and Mecha's technique is bottle rockets and gasoline, and I think they got it from Sollthar. (If I am wrong about any of this guys, I apologize, I'm not 100% sure where the credit goes.) I remember them explaining it once a long time ago, but I'm not sure where the thread is.

It involves putting some gas in a cup, then placing the rocket in it upside down (make sure the fuse is dry), then light the fuse and run away. Really fast. And I think you want to do it at night, to easily get a black background. IT IS VERY EASY TO SERIOUSLY HURT YOURSELF IF YOU TRY THIS.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THYING THIS OR ANY OTHER EXPLOSION TECHNIQUE WITHOUT PROPER EQUIPMENT AND SUPERVISION. Etc. etc. etc.

Just don't be stupid.
