Star Wars 2K1 was finished in . . . 2K1!!! Never put up because we didn't know how to compress movies well back then!

We had good effort! It took 6 months to film the whole thing!! Give us 5 stars!!

Plus sidewinder has short hair in it! Cool, huh?

You know I'm a generous voter... So you get the 5 from me... smile

Good effort, nice Animations (a little hard and rough in places though) and some nice looking shots.

But whats with the gay looking people in the picture? razz

Its always fun to watch kids make idiots out of themselves.

So I gave it one star for that and another for some of the effects.

Hey, don't knock hair bands! I happen to like quite a couple of 'em! lol

Pretty nice 3D work, but the plot was way too convoluted for me to grasp biggrin

Wow! That was really good. Although I didnt totally like the narration thorughout the movie, the movie still is really good. That 3d was really good, which program did you use. Those explosions were good and the debris was a nice touch that is not seen too much these days. Since this is your first movie I dont think it needs too much constructive critiscism as if you remade this movie today it would be 100x better. Nice Job, 5 from me.

We used 3d MAX, and Cinema 4d once or twice.

As you can probably tell, this was cut down from a full 25 minute long movie. Don't try and figure out the plot, because you won't be able to without seeing the full thing.

no, really! have you seen this, moe? it's faggity! it's an american flag with money, and the words "You Suck", just like zack said. I couldn't believe it! here I was all ready for a cool star wars fight with good computer animation, and all I got was some gay shat telling me I suck! it was horrible! I can't believe I wasted half a minute downloading this, and then another 10 seconds watching it!

I want those 40 seconds of my life back!!

That was complete and utter crap. Why did you feel you had to lie about what the film contained? Was this some sad attempt at a joke?
Maybe I'll do something equaly as funny. How about I dress up as some sort of middle eastern man and BURN the American flag. Then I'll say "Ohh this is a movie masterpiece, full of special effect, women and a compelling story"
I do have a sense of humor, but I found this completely unfunny. You get a big fat ZERO from me.

I don' think we were 'moaning' as you put it. More anoyed we wasted time downloading something that wasn't actualy what it was described to be. Also, didn't it ocur to you to CHECK before you uploaded the file?
I'm not going to download the film again. And it's a bit late now isn't it, after most of us have already posted and voted on the film?
And how come, Sollthar gave your film a 5? Has he lost his mind and thinks a flag with a spinning 'You suck' is worthy of a 5? Or did he see the aleged 'Star wars' movie?

I gave it 5 because I saw that this movie was very old just judging from how they looked in it... smile

And for that, I thought it was pretty cool. And I was in a really good mood then... smile

hee hee! All you guys got totally worked up about this movie!

The Star Wars movie is from the spring of 2001. We just threw it up here if people were interested in seeing what a first attempt at a movie looks like. I don't really care if it gets zeroes. It's something to laugh about.

Hey. Whats happening here? This forums usualy all nice an friendly.
Problem is, is that Mechaforce and Sidewinder are renowned for their little jokes and ways, especialy Mechaforce's sometimes hostile attitude towards people.
I think that a lot of people that viewed the movie when it was the spinning 'you suck' state, thought that they were deliberately tricked into viewing it, because according to the synopsis, it was a Star wars movie. However, it appears that it was uploaded in error. Myself, along with a few others thought that it was some sad little childish joke. Then the attitude afterwards wasn't exactly apologetic was it, rather a "Ha, ha, look what we did" I guess there is some misunderstanding going on here.
I really don't think it was necesssary for certain people to get all nasty about it. I know that I'm not exactly the most frequent user in the AlamDV forum, but that doesn't mean I don't read whats going on, so don't get all up in my face with comments like "80 posts, and only 2 movies..acts like he's some sorta genius, know it all..Blah, blah, blah"

Yeah! keep it easy. It was just a joke. No need to go nuts about it. Uploading a flaganimation with "you suck" on it and accidentally name it starwars.mov could happen to anyone... uh... confused

I didn't vote because I forgot to login before I downloaded it but I would have given it a three because it looked like on several ocassion they just said "OH THAT"S GOOD ENOUGH" with regard to the effects and considering how long they said it took to shoot I think I would have spent the extra time to get the effects better. Speaking of how long it took to shoot evidently that was not caused by saying take 2 or take 3 alot since the acting really dragged the whole movie down. Can't you guys shoot a scene without laughing or smiling the whole way through it? On a good note the wardrobe was excellent. All in all not bad for the first effort so 3stars.

It was OK, some suggestions would be:

1 - Ship interior shots could be tighter (watch the original for examples)
2 - Costumes needed work (visable tennis shoes and ninjas come to mind)
3 - "Modern" computers at the Imerial Base...
4 - Choice of set locations (laundry room) for light saber battle

The four items above distracted me from enjoying the clip because they were so blatant, but overall the clip was good.

The explosions are good, I'm guessing C4D from the way the ships disintegrate, but the 3D itself is inexpertly done (not surprising for a first attempt really) such as the ships landing, dogfight choreography and lighting (although the lighting for the landing ships was good).

Overall the effects were good. The story was a bit mad, it needed too much explaining by the titles, could have been cut down and tightened up.

The actor bluescreening was quite good.

The computers in the base...er...hmm...
I couldn't read the (self Destruct?) screen, due to the compression I think, but why does the empire use Windows? Perhaps that is their downfall wink
