I agree completely. I was going to request this awhile back, and I completely forgot. Thank you VERY much, Axeman!

That is an AWESOME plugin! How come all the different color variations of it got a gold but it didn't? It deserves a gold!

Hey guys, I'm glad you like it. I needed to create it anyway for a cowboy movie I'm working on, so I submitted it as a plug-in as well. Some day I hope to try film a few in the daylight, so I can get the smoke in there as well. I'm not sure how that is going to work, though.

I made a black powder fuse as well, and burned it the same night I did the muzzle flashes, and it should be up soon. I needed it for some dynamite in our movie. smile

I believe the reason it didn't get gold was that there are no alpha channels, and there really should be; but I don't know a good way to make an alpha channel for a 'real' effect like that, which isn't CG. And I believe those are bronze medals on the color variations, not gold.

Yeah, there were several reasons for that, too, billy. First off, there were more variations than could fit in one plug-in, Secondly, the colorized versions are really more of a magical or sci-fi effect, whereas the original is a real-life type of effect; historical. Third, since each of the colorized plug-ins has four or five variations, there is still some variation in each one, so I decided to seperate them so you would only need to download the colors you needed.

What is kind of funny, though, is that the green colorization got a silver, but all the other colors got bronze. I guess everyone would rate plug-ins differently. My two Burning fuse plug-ins are up now, and they were awarded exactly the opposite of how I would have. The close-up got a gold, even though it spills out of the quad a bit, and the slightly smaller one, which stays entirely in the frame and is much longer, got a silver. Personally I would have done it the other way round, but I am really not that concerned with how my plug-ins get rated.

The ongoing debate over the cinema votes has shown that any ratings system will not be perfect, and ratings will vary from person to person, so I don't think there is any need for anyone to worry too much about it. I do appreciate the recognition from you guys for my work here, though. I have a lot less time now to make plug-ins than I did back in the day, so I try to do a good job with the ones I can squeeze out.
