I am about 10 days away from starting to shoot my script that I have been working on for a three months, well, ever since joining ALAM really.

I won't give much about it away, as that would ruin in. However during the last few weeks I have been collecting the props and bits that will give the touches to the production that extra ommppff needed to make it how I imagine it within my head.

Guys, anyone in the UK. I need to borrow replica rifles (M16 etc..). I don't want to spend £150.00 on three rifles that'll I will only use on this occasion for this short production.

If you are Sollthar you will know how desperate I am. I will pay for postage. If you are b4uask you will know how desperate I am, its a damn shame I cannot use those guns Ian. sad

Seriously guys. I really need M16's or the like, otherwise it just won't look good.

If anyone can supply me with these, you have my permission to marry my second daughter. I think someone else claimed my first daughter in another topic.

Thanks for ANY HELP!

I searched up and down for m-16's last night on the internet, and found nothing under $80. However, I searched Ebay, and found tons of different auctions with toy m-16 guns that you can paint over and it would look very realistic, all for $10 or so. I highly suggest you check it out! http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?GetResult&query=m%2D16&from=R8&ht=1&combine=y&SortProperty=MetaEndSort&st=2&StoreCache=4724506+7610787+39901596

I wish i could get those guns, cry i've still got the one from earthbound, he hasn't asked for it back yet !!! knowing my luck, i would lend you it, and he would ask for it back.

those cheap plastic guns ( the one's with orange tips ) were about £3 from a toy shop.
( we have now sprayed the orange bits ) they don't look to bad.

Yeah, sadly thats from America and I have had so many transactions from America on ebay.com that I know it'll take a lot longer than a few days. sad You need to wait for the auction to end, service charge chipping is up to 7 days. Anything quicker is more expensive sad

I do assure you I would pick it up and deliver it back to you when you wanted it back. cool

I have no info about getting replica guns but I just want to post and say that you make sure you inform the police that you'll be using guns before you shoot.

You probably already have, but I just thought I'd post this and check wink I speak from experience because a group of people in my hometown were shooting a student film, they were using guns and informed the police and the area they were shooting in. But still one person called the police and caused mayhem.

We all know the general bad climate around guns and replicas in Blighty at the moment so it's best to act responsibly. You can't be too careful.

That toy shop not too far from Wimbledon were selling some really cool looking 'toy hand guns' at Christmas. I even noticed a pretty authentic looking M16 toy rifle that would have looked believably real on camera biggrin

I've got a cool Colt m16 a2. However I need it. Just out of interest, why did you include a scene containing 3 things you haven't got? I've learnt that's a bad idea.

Fair enough. Although if you do it like that, I would stay away from having any set dates. 'cos there's more things to go wrong. Not to say it's a bad way of doing it.

Thinkin' about it. I've tried it before actually, I just made sure that I didn't have a set date and did have a back up plan.

check your local toy shops for squirt guns, or something. as long as it looks close enough, you can spray paint it black. just don't get any close-ups or anything

what is more important is:

it won' be long before shops stop selling toy guns.

companies won't make them anymore if people are not allowed to carry them.

then we would have to order from another country ?

I have a new plan.

I plan to travel to where b4uask lives and steal that gun I desperately need.

If you notice it is gone in the next few days Ian, don't be alarmed. I will leave a thank you note and return it within the next week.

hey, er-no! check out this sight! I just found it, it's based in Texas, U.S., so the shipping might be a bit much, but I can guarantee you that their stuff will be cheaper than that whoop-ass famas. they don't have airsoft or bb machine guns, but they have some toys that look pretty good:\

Yeah the SA80 L85 A1 assault rifle is the standard issue weapon for the british military. Hence the flag.

Sh*t I forgot to mention www.bbguns.co.uk. I've got nearly all of my guns from there. Should have mentioned it earlier but I forgot. I got my m16 from there for 60quid. They also have budget sidearms for 15quid a piece.

Yeah but knowing my luck, those couple of days would be the best chance for me to get some filming. I'm at the moment talking one of my stunt guys and we're going to be training and practicing stunts. We may even need them for that.

Besides where'd you live? Anywhere out of England's too far anyhow.

"oh, that was creepy!

A bit off topic but on new years eve I was at this girls house and the christmas tree was still up, the lights where flashing and always in perfect time to every tune that was played. It did it for hours. Dancing lights. Perfect beat everytime. The amounts of alcohol that had been consumed didn't do me any favours either.

Anyway someone take this back on topic now.
