I was just thinking that it might be useful to have a cauterized whole plug-in for when you run someone through with a lightsaber. Mostly just black charedness in a circle.
I have used the circle shadow to do this, but its just a little too regular in shape. What do you guys think?

When I needed a burn mark on a wall from a lazer blast in my "Han Solo Apple Switch Parody" I just went into Photoshop and made a black shape with the airbrush tool and exported it with Alpha channel. I also created an orange shape with the same method and composited the 2 in After Effects. I just faded out the orange one to reveal the black one so it appeared that the blast area was burning hot and cooled quickly. I know you were talking about having something like that for ALAM, but if you have AE and Photoshop you could go that route.

My attempt turned out ghastly, so I won't be posting it. I just had an idea: why not film the tip of a lit cigarette head-on? That'd work pretty well as a cauterised saber "stab" wound, I think! Anyone who smokes?

Sadly, Im poor sad No Photoshop or After Efftects. I could probably acheive a simialr effect adding it frame by frame in Paint Shop Pro...but I doing enough stuff like that already for this current project (taking of heads and such).
It just would be really nice to have it as a plug-in, much less work for everyone smile
Thanks for the effort Moebius
