I was just wondering if any of you've got some films planned out. Everyone loves talking about their latest project and I'm in the mood to read about other people's films.

I'll pay special attention to modern-day gunplay films.

Yes. I am.

In fact I'm working on a project that is so secretive that If I were to tell you I'd have to shoot you and inturn shoot myself.

I've got a couple of movies in the works:

a feature length Star Wars fan film that won't be completed for another year.

and a nodern-day gunplay movie that you'd like to hear about, but I won't tell you about it yet. . . purely to torture you! because we haven't seen a shred of your work yet!!

by the way, where are you based?

as my profile says, I'm in grand rapids, Michigan, in the USA.

actually, this part of the country is really starting to bloom in the film industry! I'm about a two hour drive away from Chicago, which is becoming a huge filming location for big budget hollywood movies.

I've been waterskiing with Jeff Daniels smile One of my old college buddies had a cottage right across from Jeff Daniels' cottage, and he introduced me, and we hung out for a weekend! Jeff is pretty cool guy biggrin

"I too thought two_gunned saint was an american. . ."

Is it the stetson? It's the stetson isn't it?

Seeing as the British find it rather difficult to make good films I'll take that as a compliment.

Wow Jeff Daniels. That guy's badddd, shame to see him get blown up in "Speed".

generally speaking, people don't close their webservers down at night. . .
not unless they're serving from their own personal computer, which in this case, I find highly unlikely.

besides, I think it would give me an 'error 404 page cannot be found' message instead of a 'you don't have permission' message

I guess either way, it doesn't matter, I still can't look at the page wink

Yeah, the internet in general is a bit screwed at the moment. Even we were down for a brief period on Sunday. This nasty worm is causing havoc all over the place. Crazy that so much of the internet can get knocked out so easily - it would seem that some people are having more trouble than others.

I've got a new project in mind after Face to Face... We plan starting the project in March. It will be a comiclike action-short of 20 minutes like darkman/spawn, but much faster.

mainplan is to put our SFX work onto a new level...

Both scope servers (scope-films & scope-entertainment) were screwy lately cuz one of them was fooked for some unknown reason, and the other is currently being moved to another server. Should be back up quite soon.

and mecha: the reason your link isn't working is because it's all caps.

it should read /twistedstudios not /TWISTEDSTUDIOS

EDIT: The scope-films server should be working now. Its moving servers in a few days. My bad.

I am deep in pre-production for my next flick- Star Wars:Prodition. It's a sequel to my first ever fan film "Power of the Sith" which is here on the cinema. I think about 5 people saw that one- I don't blame them- It was total crap. This next one will still have my boys in it, but another youngling will star in it as well as myself and a good friend of mine. I have been working like mad sewing costumes and making sabers and coming up with decent looking lightsaber fights. We are making a full sized Jedi Starfighter cockpit and making it look tight. Our villian will be costumed with a really nice latex facial appliance and we are really spending some time making the costumes look authentic. I'm really trying to take my time and do it proper. We will be shooting in a television studio with a GL1, boom Mic, etc. and capturing all of our bluescreen work. I have a very talented musician who will be scoring and recording original music for us. Every shot will be some kind of composited effect shot and we have some things planned that I know you've never seen before in a Star Wars based fan film. Of course ALAM DV will be used extensively. We are on schedule to begin filming in March. Post will take a good portion of this next year. It will have action, humor, suspense, and a surprise twist or two. Hopefully before Christmas I'll be able to upload it. OK- I've said too much.... BACK TO THE SEWING MACHINE!!!

sollthar ( doing some deep voices )
davlin ( a head that floats )
rich( spike ( and his girlfriend are filming themselfs, as if on another planet )

Retribution:
Started off as a sw fanfilm, but I've downsized it into a 1min short where a gunfighter kills a man to avenge his fathers death, and realises the man is his real father eek

I decided to try out a super8 camera I have lying around, so I bought some stock, only to realise I have about 3 mins rolleyes
I'm in script finalisation at the moment, and I'll shoot twice, video and film, and see which comes out best...

Hey, we're not all Brits! I'm about 90 minutes away from Ice-Man (I live in Elkhart, IN). smile Now that I think about it, we could team up to do something sometime..*shrug* who knows.

I'm currently deep in preproduction for this big Vietnam film I'm working on. Since Vietnam was always a breezey 90+ degrees, it wouldn't look right to be filming in 2 feet of snow biggrin But, I have alot of work to do. Aquiring 20+ authentic costumes, props, and equipment. And as some of you know I recently purchased 10 M-16's and 10 AK-47s. I've been doing some planning with my pyrotechnic's guy (actually hired a professional for this one oink ), casting a fleet of Vietnamese actors, heading out to DC to film the Memorial Wall, and just basically calling around making sure the floorwork will be set in stone come spring time. Hopefully I can post more news in the coming weeks cool

Indeedily doodily!

Working on 'Team Crawling Space'.

In the next couple of days I am off to have look around the location where I am shooting it. Will post some images of it up on the internet. I don't want to give too much away about the script, and it would be too complicated to explain without you reading the whole script. eek

Wow 3 pages of answers. I knew people loved to talk about their newest project, this just proves it. Some very good ideas coming through, can't wait.

That Vietnam war epic sounds great. Like the idea of the guy who kills his own father, sounds interesting. All of the ideas you've mentioned sound good as well though.

Well I have just finished my first film - a minute and a half of sheer improvisation - I'd love to upload it but I don't have any web space to stick it on for the cinema to access it. Don't know what to do now.

Well I thought it came out ok though - ah the irony - buy AlamDV2 and now I have no money for webspace lol rolleyes

BTW its another lightsaber film - so don't go crazy calling it pointless and so on please ! crazy

I have a movie that is due in march or earlier. Right now I'm in a stage that is kinda a blend of production and post-production, but more of the second. I just have a small part of a scene that I need to finish shooting. It is a Star Wars Parody called "The Dark Triad."

I've always loved Star Wars, so I started making some drawings for lightsabers. Then there were some stories that I made to go with the drawings. Then I decided that I should make a film out of it, and since my friends and I do comedies, the story turned into a comedy. Basically, it is far into the future of the Star Wars Universe where there is a crisis going on, so our hero has to save the day.

This is my first production that isn't improvization. I know that there are some lighting problems in one of the fight scenes, but oh well, i learned from it. Even if it doesn't do well, it has been a blast to make. I hope that it is as funny to the audience as it was to us.

I might have a similar problem as someone mentioned above. I don't really know where I'm going to put this so that it can get on this site. If any of you know a good place to put it on the net, i would appreciate it.

Finished principal photography and rough edit for Vengeance.
Need to create effects and record sound.
My wife has watched it and thinks it's a spoof, which is a bit worrying.
Perhaps because I play both parts...

If it's one of your first films or two, don't worry. I find that it's pretty normal for relatives and people you know to find things spoofy/funny just for the sake that it's actually YOU on the screen. It'll be different when it's all said and done smile

Yeah there are some new films in the pipeline - one is a spin off of another series of films and one - which will take about a year and ahalf to finish coz we are at the planning stage -we have managed to get some props and costumes and the script is half written.

Locations have also been determined - one of which happens to be a very famous historical landmark.

Hey people, i am at the minute just planning out and scouting about for a film that i am going to put a lot of effort into, its a paranormal type movie, i whipped up a mock trailer for it last night just using my home as a setting, (was kinda bored) and i am hoping to use some real good fx in it, the film is about some amatuer paranormal investigators who go into a very old but big house and try to catch something on camera, to there amazement the house is crawling with activity and in the basement of the house, which used to be a dungeon they capture something that is proved to be 100% real, and shoot to fame for being the first people to prove the existance of the paranormal, after a few years they decide to get back together after taking a break from there new highly paid jobs, they go back to the house that got them there fame and the the goul should i say is pretty pissed and wants revenge, for capturing it on tape, and being disturbed, will be very dark and hopefully quite eerie and will give people the creeps
