It definitely isn't us - we'd never put ads for porn on the website. I'll double check with Malone in case something weird has happened...

But I expect it's actually spyware on your own computer that is causing the problem. use Ad-Aware as Andreas said, it will scan your computer for naughty files that are hiding away and causing all sorts of problems.

Yeah, theres no way that csb's server could suddenly get pr0n popups on it. With the exception of being hacked - which is so unlikely its laughable - i'd say its actually impossible that the porn popups could be linked to alamdv or the site in anyway way.

Whats most likely is that whatever codecs you have installed are using adware programs to get money. And those adware programs are spamming you with porn. DivX certainly does this, and i wouldn't be surprised if others do too. Even if it isn't your codecs, there are bound to be other programs capable of this that you also have installed.

I recommend downloading/using Adaware (http://www.lavasoft.nu) to check your system for programs that are likely to spam you.

The other possible option is that although you thought you had closed all the windows with XXX donkey farm-sex in, there was one still open! As you closed that window it opened yet more windows until eventually it seemed to be so simultaneous with your post-hand-shandy browsing of the AlamDV site; that it could conceivably be the AlamDV site itself that was creating the popups! razz

I can confirm they are not coming from our server.

Its becoming popular to install things like gator with so called 'free' software. Gator infects your computer and pops-up random adverts (tho Im not aware it does pron ones) every now and again. This means the original software people make money at your expense. Half the time the software people are so keen to make you install this that they hardly explain what will happen, and you know nothing about it until these things start popping up.

Damn, when I downloaded Gator they said the adverts would appear only in the program itself just under the drop down menus, I guess they get more money for popups. twisted

You have spyware.

As someone has already said. Download Ad-Ware.

its superb. Gets rid of all that crap.

Also. Gator is the worst company in the world. Thank heavens for my firewall and Ad-ware, oh and KazaaLite smile

I think I know why:

The porn site you recently visited stuck a cookie on your browser which constantly gives you pop-ups on every site you visit.

Don't worry. It's "normal" for people to visit porn sites often. lol

download an ad zapper, deleter, whatever...it should just delete the pop up ads... I use some comet cursor one, but there are others... You can go to www.cnet.com and search for 1 there.
