In one of the scenes of my new film one of the scenes I've imagined involves the camera encircling/panning in slo-mo round a butterfly that's frozen in mid air, Matrix style. Anyone in UK who's seen the CenterParcs TV ads with the swan would know what I mean. biggrin

Therefore I could do with a butterfly plugin that has the butterfly revolving 360 degrees. I know it would be a 3D effect, and Alam isn't really about 3D effects (there has been lots of debate about this, I've noticed), I'd be really grateful if someone could help. I've tried dangling a fake butterfly on a string and moving my camera round that but it doesn't really work neutral

In case you're wondering, I'm making an action movie short based on coincidence and chaos theory/butterfly effect - hence literal need for butterfly! lol

Cheers in adlancevance

just wondering,
did you want it moving before it freezes in mid air

or just it still with the camera paning around it.

I've just done one for you ( frozen to start with )
the camera pans around it for 200 frames

( you didn't give much detail on angle and lenght of the clip. )
I'll upload it now, if it's not right let me know what you need

Wait a little bit and the plug-in should show up. It takes a while from the time a plug-in is submitted to the time you can download it. The crew at csb-digital have to review it, make sure there are no problems with it, and rate it before they make it available. Normally during the week one day is long enough, so you should see it tomorrow.

Great plugin b4! I gave it 5 razz You did a good job considering how little info I really gave you...I like the colour smile Its just how I imagined it.

I have edited it into my film and it works really well.

Seeing my film with it in though has shown me that

1: *I could do with the same plugin, only with the butterfly flapping its wings. So it begins to flap its wings down as it turns so that by the time the butterfly faces you the wings are fully down, then it keeps on turning and it flaps its wings back up so they are fully up by the time we see its behind biggrin

2: *Another perspective would be the butterfly just flapping its wings down and then up just from behind of it

I hope these descriptions are a little more informative cool I'm really grateful for your effort and that it will not take up too much of your time (I know time is precious to us all); with its help my video will turn into a great little movie that you will soon see at the cinema... rolleyes

Doh!!! I mean the Alam cinema... wink

Cheers, Mel

Yeah a couple more would be really useful

(for my movie "Return of the Killer Butterflies" - only joking biggrin )

One with red wings would be good, and one that's mainly creamy coloured but with dashes of purple

Cheers wink
