If this is for your Dinosaur movie mentioned in your next post I wouldnt recomend using plugins for all the dinos, as plugins are not flexible enough. Read what I said in your next post.

It depends on your budget. If theres no real limit then Maya (www.alias.com), Lightwave (www.lightwave3d.com), 3DS Max (www.discreet.com) or Softimage (www.softimage.com) R good. If you do have a price limit then Realsoft 3d (www.realsoft.com) or animation master (www.hash.com) are good.
