For now, though, we've quickly made the Gun Barrel Sequence. I think it looks pretty good, so enjoy!

Note: the link in the cinema is to a quicktime version done with KermZ's gunbarrel plugin.

Heheh, liked it.

I gave it 3, as nothing much happens. Yet...

1. I like big muzzle flash, it's probably just me, but can you make it bigger?
2. Do up your jacket wink
3. If you raise the contrast enough, you might not see the carpet as well...
4. Lovely! How did you do it?

Very nice and polished sequence! Very authentic! Any way of converting just the gun barrel image sequence into an AlamDV2 plugin? biggrin

that sucked. the animation was bad and the frame rate for the blood dripping down is just pitiful. this needs much more work if you want it to look good. also, when the white circle is moving across the screen. what the hell is up with that? the animation is totally messed up tard

the multiplying circles at the beggining were not great, jacket waves too much, background should be completely white(I can let this one go), and at the end the circle should go to the lower left hand corner the new scene should show inside of it, and then it should open fully. Good first draft though...don't let the critics get to you!

Did I watch the wrong clip? 'Cos the clip I watched featured really smooth-flowing blood...

ok there is a bit of confusion happening here, so i'll try to clear it up.

i made a great-looking sequence using after effects for everything. it contains no alamdv use. hence, when i tried to upload it to the cinema, it was not posted.

i then re-did part of it in alamdv so i could get it posted. i used KermZ's plugin in this case. i then uploaded it to the cinema, explaining the thing about two different versions, and the administration posted it in the cinema with my original text.

in conclusion, there are two versions. one is on my website and the other in the cinema.

next post: Q & A

my website: http://members.optusnet.com.au/donttrythis

CurtainParloe, i actually made the muzzle flash about twice the size of the actual one from "the world is not enough". i made it using photoshop, but i should have used alam so i could have it in the cinema.
i thought the jacket looked good, esp. when it swings around as he (it's my friend, not me) turns and shoots.
yes, i know the background is not white. i have thought of masking out the background, but it can be a painfully slow process, so... biggrin
i'll be making a tutorial for my website, so stay tuned.

Moebius, i am currently working on a plugin for alam, of this. i'm just having a bit of trouble with the alpha channel, but if i get the chance (i just started uni for the year yesterday) i'll do it this week.

Thanks anon! perhaps your view would be different if you'd seen the after effects one instead. i believe i made it as best i could using KermZ's plugin and alamdv exclusively - PLEASE NOTE: ALL EFFECTS DONE IN ALAM! [I'm not out-growing it am I?]

Andrewlogan, yes, i know. if u take a look at the one on my website, u can see that the circle does go off to the side and opens up as the next scene is revealled, but in "the world is not enough", it DOES go up to the right, and since that's the one i took the barrel from, that's where it goes!

Moebius (again!), NO! you watched the right clip! i just wish they'd put the non-alam one in the cinema. ahh well.
