Is there anyone out there that can make a plug-in of an Imperial probe droid, like the one in Empire Strikes Back? There is almost every other type of droid except that one. Please make it loopable, if possible.

Thanks,

Paul cool

like this?

If so I'll work on it. biggrin
(if you can find a mesh it would help....otherwise it will take longer, because I will have to make it from scratch. biggrin )

Yeah, that's it! Sorry, I don't have a mesh. There is one at The Force.net,
in their Sci-Fi 3D section, but the version of 3DS Max I have doesn't open
it. I hope this helps.

Thanks in advance,

I'm not real sure! Get creative, basically have it rotate slowly as it would
move across the frame. Animated legs would be cool, but don't go real crazy. Use The Empire Strikes Back as a guideline. All this dorid really did was move around and rotate its head until it was attacked. These should be very basic animations. Make it loopable if possible, or make sets of different animations. Also, realistic lighting would be important so it didn't look out of place.

Good Luck,

This is where alam turns into a substitute for a 3d program again.....lol

instead of a plugin, just sending the video of it over a back backgourd, is that the same?

YEEE 300 posts! lol

still got a LONG way to go to be around some of the other ppl here

here's what I can do.

I can make a whole bunch of stills(lots of angles)
I can make the droid rotate

(what lighting would u want?)

or

You can send me the footage and I can stick the droid in and make it look real good.

Just light it so it doesn't look like a flat picture, but a 3D object. Use your own judgement. Light it as if it were hovering down your street. That should be good enough.

Cool, I can't wait to see the results. I'm really surprised with all the Star Wars plug-ins on the plug-ins page, that nobody has made this yet. I know you will do a great job.

Major bummer man! sad sad sad I won't let anyone near my computer, unless I'm home and in the next room. He must be pretty smart to know how to format a HD. It took me a while to learn how to do it. Anyway, I'm sorry to here you lost all your stuff. Take your time, hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry I can't gey max to work. When I installed max5 it over wrote the licence thing for max4. Max5 says it is mssing some licence thing. I have contacted the people at discet(the company that makes max) and they say I have some crazy virus that is deleteing my licence.(they don't know what is wrong) I spent alot of money for this program and I am VERY mad to say the least.

If anyone has had this problem before let me know so I can fix it.

Sorry I will get right to work on it as soon as max starts working again.

(I might go over to a friend that has it so I can work on your request and others. I am very sorry for the delay.)

This is why some versions of copy protection suck. When you legally own a program and you can't use it because of your "key". That would seriously piss me off! Especially when you take into consideration how much Max costs. Anyway, take your time. I just hope you can resolve your problem.

Thanks for the Update,

I am SOO sorry this is taking so long. I am going over to my uncle's house next week and I am going to bring my 3ds max cds. I am going to see if it will work on his pc so I can make all the plug-ins people have asked me to do. (I don't care if dicret says I can only install it on my computer) PRAY HARD that it will work.

But, I still had most of my data backed-up. biggrin So, I'll be formatting my new drive and re-installing AlamDV on Tuesday.
