Does anyone have an animated model of a helicopter from over head. The camera would be directly under teh helicopter, not necassarily positioned in the middle, just looking up , and seeing the helicopter away at a distances directly above, with the helicopter blades spining. I need somethign like that for a prject i am working on. Thanks.

You could do it the old fashioned way and buy a model of a helicopter, and put a blue/green screen behind it. And to make the propellers move, wrap fishing line around the rotor a bunch of times and pull. Easy.

You could use a cheap G.I. Joe helecopter, I have one, that when you push something, the rotor turn.

It depends on if you want a realistic looking helicopter, or a cheap, goofy looking, unrealistic helicopter. I'd say, go with my idea. For one thing, you don't need anyone in the shot pressing a button on the helicopter, and for another thing, there ARE no buttons on a model helicopter.

there is a helicopter inwww.renderosity.com
look in the free section
it is blue, but you can change colour, and the blades spin if you want them to
idea for a long shot.
