As many of you already know I have been researching the new stereoscopic website technology for the past few months. This is the next generation of those 3D magic eye pictures, and has already been a big success on other websites. Because of the way a computer monitor works this new tech allows us to project a 3D image outwards from the monitor, which you can then mentally rotate using your hands.

I have received a lot of requests to add something like this to the new website, and I am now pleased to reveal that the majority of the new site will feature this technology. This will allow us to demonstrate our programs in more detail than ever before, and provide a much simpler interface for browsing the cinema and plugins section.

Below is a test image from the upcoming website. To view simply place your fingers on in the red rectangles on the screen and stare at the center of the image. If the image does not become 3D straight away try keeping your head still and blinking occasionally to reset your vision. Once the image turns 3D you can slowly move your fingers about to rotate the object.

I also noticed it was an april 1'st joke when I looked at the source code on the 'other websites' link.

Another April fool...

Darn, I've tried copying a link to an April fool but it's not working. Go to www.guardian.co.uk find "NEWS" on the left & click on "UK latest", then find Who Wants to Be a Millionaire story

lol

oh, and obi - the link itself to the 'other website' should have been the tip-off, 'http://firstforth2003.vze.com/' you should have figured that out before you even looked at the source code. . .

let's face it, guys. we've been had by the master himself, malone!

I can't believe I was done in on that. I was sitting there for so long trying to get the damn thing to rotate. The entire time I was like "how the hell would that have any effect?" yet I still sat there and tried to do it.......three seperate times! Good job, Malone.

I can see the "fools" on the picture on this page, but on the other link you provide the red stuff must spell out something but I can't make it out. I can see the shape behind it though. Anyone (Cypher?) make out what it says?

Ha! I just thought it was another one of those 3D pictures that I couldn't make out. Never could get my eyes to do whatever they're supposed to do to see the pictures. I eventually gave up. I was gonna come in here and complain about my eyes not working right. Hello- my name is unclepain and I'm a dufus.

It's the purple-blue wordlike stuff that makes it hard to focus...if your good at this(like me, lol)...they sort of fade out...but still, it's a strain on your eyes.

Man!! you got me, but I wasn't on my guard since april first is in the past by now...very funny..

And by the way, I tried it first on my LCD monitor and then I said to myself wtf are you doing with you fingers on that?? so transfered it on the other monitor..and stood...like a idiot in front of it for about 10 minutes...

The thing is those 3d stereoscopic things never worked for me (I still think it's a urban legend wink) It would have been great to see my first with an alam dv content!!

Nice job Malone!
