I'm actually looking for a little help finding a plugin I believe is already out there. Its sort of a ripple wave. I think it was used in Matrix Renegades. Also there is a nice Truck tossing effect in "The Test".
Can anyone point those out for me? It would be much appreciated.

Thank you for the courteous reply. I've been to that excellent site but hadn't yet read that tuorial.
I just read another post in here where some poor sap got royally reamed for asking about that core Matrix effect. I was half expecting to get a tounge flogging. I'm a total newbie here.
Again, thanks for the link.

Why would you want to make a crappy looking bullet ripple like in matrix renegade?
You need to use AFX or I would suggest 3ds max

To clarify, I'm referring to the warp effect that occurs at about 1:19 in the Matrix Renegade trailer.
I have both AFX and Studio Max through my day job. Any idea where I could find a tutorial on accomplishing this type of effect.
Here's my pathetic little live action/ P5/ Maya movie attempthttp://www.posercity.com/zh/

By the way, the effect I was referring to is called ripple. Turns out most compositor softwares have this built right in. I ended up doing it with Ulead Media Studio Pro, but heard that AFX has it with even more optionsl ike moving the effect around.

Yeah, you can do stuff like that in a lot of programs, but AE really does make the best ones.
