Watching films like "The Test", "Matrix Renegades" and many others here, one cannot help but fantasize about the ability to move in bullet time and just look all cool and stuff. This is just a little bit of me goofing off on the set of my first feature length film, Zombie Hunter.

I guess the idea here is that I'm facing off with a T-2000 unit. I dig that overlay plugin. And how about those glass bullet holes? That plugin is strong with the force. smile

As always, your feedback is most welcome.

Andreas,

The film is nearly completely shot. Maybe one more weekend of pickups then it's in the can. But alot of the timeline for editing will depend on the zombie animations which will all come from Sixus1.com. I have a feeling it won't be completed prior to September, but that's just a guess at this point.

Regards,
Brent

I guess I asked for critic. But, really, I had in mind, friendly critic. You fellas are making me feel about as welcome here as a good stiff dose of the clap.

I've owned Alam for 1 week. Guess you boys have already uploaded epic films I should go watch before inflicting another such turd on the viewing audience. My bad.

Hey, don't feel sad. We've all gotten bad reviews one time or another, mostly from Mechaforce though. lol

I actually felt kind of, what's the english word?... I felt besmirched by Mechaforce. Then I watched his film and felt alot better about my work.

Nothing wrong with his. But, then again, nothing distinguishes it from my clip except maybe better sound fx. If I wanted to be an ass though there'd be plenty to critisize.

But, it's all good. I prefer to compliment rather than detract, ya know? Sort of like the old adage. If you don't have anything to nice to say, then shut the hell up before i have to bitch slap yer silly 14 year old ass. Errrr, or something like that! rolleyes

hmmm
Although I have seen many tests on alamdv with a guy shooting, a few things made me think.

the writing down the side I don't think was a plugin, ( if not, why not make it a plugin it looked good )
The other bit was the light rays ( was that Shine on after effects ?) looked nice. good first attempt with Alamdv.

And has anyone told you that you look like Peter Jackson wink

Whadya mean...Looks like! It is him I tell ya.
He's gone back to his Bad Taste roots at last!
Man I love that film.

Peter...sorry, Greybro, I don't know what everyones b1tching about! I've seen a lot worse on here!
As far as your 2 test clips go, nothing so bad there. Perhaps crank the sound up a bit or use a different gun FX and perhaps a bit more frenzied movement with the zombies?
As for muzzle flashes, they work ok. For guns that size it'd look dodgy if they had huge king size M16 muzzle flashes.
Anyone seen a real 9mm Browning fired I ever wonder!!!

Actually those were recorded from my 9mm. Guess thhey don't come across very hollywood though.

Can anyone point me to a nice zip of gunshot sounds?

Every time I searched I came up with crappy sounds so the best way I've found is if you have a dvd-rom which I assume you do, just play a film with some good gun sounds and then record them direct.
I use Goldwave to record & edit the sounds.
You can then play around with the sound until you're happy with it.

1. I haven't taken down my movie clips intentionally. My entire site has been down all weekend. Trying to correct that but my host doesn't appear to be responding. And on that note everyone avoid phpwebhosting at all costs.

2. Yes, I've taken all this too personally. My bad. I've been shooting this movie on weekends since Jan and am overdue for a break.

Now that I understand the level of critic that anything I post here will be met with, I'll be prepared for that in t he future and won't post any in progress stuff.

I tried to diffuse this thread earlier on. But, you know how it is when you read someone's response and it ticks you off. Whammo, before you can breath deep you've responded out of anger. That's always a bad idea and normally something I wouldn't do. As I've said it just took me off guard and I was weak enough to make a snap response. Sorry about that.

Brent

Glad to hear it Greybro

I'm sure you will a great member on here, If you don't mind me pointing out to people that you run Poser website ( this could help me as there seems to be a lot of upcoming talent on here using poser and I think i've lost my KING POSER title cry .

I have seen the zombie clip you have done ( not on alamdv ) but it has a CGI zombie pulling a guy by the leg out of a wooden hut, LOOKS EXCELLENT, and i know you have never used Alamdv before so after a while I think your films will be in the no.1 spot.

good luck ( I say from all on alamdv )

Exactly what I was thinking, but there are zombie films.. then there is 'the' zombie film. Whoever wins that title will be the title holder.

We're going to make a zombie movie for our second submission for the oz fest thing - we've been planning it for the last 3 months or so...

Except it's a comedy.

And note to professor nightwing: Read the thread.
