What format is prefered for sounds?

Not much of a charity guy, but greybo and some others are asking for gun sounds. I have a few dozen i don't mind sharin' with ya all. I'll have it here for a week or so.

Re your poll, it doesn't matter when you're editing video because most editing apps can import MP3s.

MP3s though are compressed so you get a quality loss even though it may not be actually discernible. WAV files are pure uncompressed, so I, anyway, use WAV files when I'm adding sounds to my films, then compress it in the film @ the end in all one go.

That's what i thought, but i keep so many, i try to save space on my drive by using mp3's. Just wondered what was recommended. Thanks.

Yeah, well, if you have enough space then you can keep them as WAVs, or compress them as MP3s but not too much compression - cos if you do that then the sounds will sound tinny & dsitorted in the final film, with t being recompressed in the exporting.

+1 for the warsounds, just wanted to test them before I gave you force lol

by the way, the link does not work... and also i am looking for some gun sounds, does anybody have a link that goes directly to gun sounds? do not post the same as the one in the first post
