The CIA has tracked a local terrorist plan to steal military plans and sell them to foriegn countries. Agent Jack Dunn is sent out to retrieve them. (Note: This is the rough copy of the film. The real film is being done with real studio camera's and has an 8k budget, and will feature higher quality special fx not done by myself.) Anyway I thought I'd just post it anyway. Enjoy.

8000 bucks. Two possible answers:

1) You're lying.

2) Someone just got totally suckered out of 8000 bucks.

And your link is down. By the way. Mecha is spot on. Another thing: What do you mean a rough version? Does that mean it was filmed with camcorders, but the real thing is not? Why film it more than once?

As usual the Geo-Shittys site is down. Maybe you should take a couple of those $8000 and buy a domain, some disk space and some band width. I would like to watch your movie but the only thing I can find is dated 02/03/03 is that what we are supposed to be looking at?

Let me clear things up for the people who can't read...It's a rough copy of the movie because any real film maker knows an actor is different in life than he appears on film. So it's a test with camcorders. I have nothing to do with the filming or special fx aspect of the film. My close friend Chris Snow is in charge of Producing and spending the 8k. Which is going towards the real production. At this time he feels there is no need for a web site. The film will be entered in a major film compeition inside of Ontario Canada. I only act in this movie basically. The Matrix Fate is my own little project with a 0$ budget. It's just for fun. This movie however, features me only as an actor. When the real movie which it's approx runtime is about 25 mins is released I'll see if I can't get it on the interent. I promise you I'm not lying. We're using for Studio cameras, renting a helicopter for our last scene, hiring stunts doubles from Ben Wise Martail arts Movie school (You may have heard of it. The stunt man for wolvarine in X-men came from that school.) we've rented out a city bridge for the final scene. We've boughten a used 1989 Camaro RS which we grabbed for 1500$ Canadian, some ford cruiser as seen in the trailor with the flashing cop lights, Have rented a mustang 2003, An Audi 2003, We've also rented out a wearhouse for one of our scenes. We've storyboarded the movie, and have been preparing it for a yaer now. Trust Me I kid you not. If you live in Ontario you may have heard of Cinefest. If so please feel free to check out our movie which will be playing at to locations in Sudbury and Toronto. The Odion Theatre and Famous PLayer locations ie Silvercity. Thanks guys and I hope that you all see the final outcome. O yes and the camera crews and editors will cost about $1000 a day...money goes easy. 8k is a small budget for a movie of Cinefest!
Later....

Ok - - - did you or did you not make that Matrix movie? Because that sucked really badly.

Who and WHY are they giving you money? Because I wouldn't give you a penny after seeing that Matrix POS.

We've made 0 dollar movies that are WAY better than that one.

How many times did he say i kid you not again...oh well....you said that editors will cost about 1000 dollars a day(most editing for a 25 minute movie takes more than the 8 day supply of money that you have).... you rented a helicopter, a bridge, some nice cars, some stunt doubles...and bought a camaro...and the total cost of your movie was $8000...i dont believe that one minute....but you can live in your fake world all you want...i dont really care and yes that Matrix movie licked hella-crack...

Hey, whats wrong here? Come on, leave him. Whats with the agressive attitude?

He said he will just act in the film and the film is not made by him. It is made by another director and the money is HIS money.

Thanks Solthar. And I only said I kid you not once. A mechaforce man You got some f***ed ego problems. I make movies because I enjoy the aspect of film and I like to share that with other people. And everyone has to start somewhere. How would you like me to prove that we HAVE 8k to spend. The director got money from sponsors. I'm not in anyway shape or way involved with the filming or fx of that movie I'm just proud to be apart of it so I produced a trailor out of our "screen tests". And my matrix movie is for fun...If it sucks who cares? I'll have fun making it...It's not like The Wachoski Bro's are gonna come along and hire me do stuff for them. People are apart of this community as a family of people who enjoy film alltogether so to bad mouth someone for no reason is wrong. Why not give some advice on how to improve, rather than what...

P.S: 8k is our budget not our total. The budget may increase... We're funded by a place called the MFM who hooked us up with people in our area that support independant film.

http://www.musicandfilminmotion.com

And one last question what in the world did I do to piss you all off to put me down like this? Sure my matrix thing sucked...so you hate me for it? 8k is not a lot of money guys...why is that such a big deal. Editing will cost us $1000 every four days for the people we know. The bridge doesn't cost us anything it was just time consuming to get ahold of a date and road blocks. Try it urself and u'll see it's all possible. Or you can just keep posting on msg boards waisting ur time.

I'm not angry either...im just a bit disgruntaled....i don't hate you...your story just doesn't seem too believable to me...if it is true then good for you but i dont really care...why do you care so much about my opinion im just one guy...who cares what i have to say...if i want to be a negative asshole that is my problem...but if you have a question about how to do a certain effect or something i will be glad to help...just don't think that posting some half ass movie clip is gonna get you respect...make sure you take pride in your own work and believe in your own work enough to not release garbage..cuz that will only bring about flaming and insults...take or leave my advise...

as you can clearly see he is NOT making the movie and as far as i can tell this "Chris Snow" guy had nothing to do with the matrix fate. So there is no reason for people to judge you by your friends... just because their not as good at stuff as you are... am i right?

Spending your life on a computer making movies for nothing would place you under a loser catagory. If your planning on doing something with the film, great! I Do apologize to mechaforce, I understand MY movies aren't the greatest but isn't it supposed to be fun...not a competition? We all share an interest and should support that interest so that we can ALL improve. So far no one has told me anything about this clip rather than i don't beleive ur budget...or The matrix Fate sucked. SO please let's start fresh how was this clip?...how can I improve as a movie maker?...and any other comments (even harsh ones). Thanks.

I must side with Marek and Sollthar here. It seems to me that gpmovies was genuinely trying to share about his experience and trying to show us some of it by the means available to him. Granted he may not be the best filmmaker here but I defy anybody to say they never made a movie that sucked in somebody else's eye... I myself just finished a $5000 movie. I put my own money into it, friends contributed, helped, etc. We had to get permits from the city, clearance from unions, etc. But this is how you become serious about this and it becomes more than a hobby. It is totally feasible with some time and efforts.

There is one thing I find hugely annoying in these forums is this blatant thirst for acclaim. Listen guys. You put a movie out there, some people will like it, some won't. Some movies are good, some are bad. Don't want criticism? Just don't shoot anything! Or better yet, don't post it! If you can't take the criticism for what it is, one guy's opinion, just don't do this. It seems very childish to me. I personally welcome all criticism, good and bad. As long as it is constructive and not just incoherent ramblings.

That being said, I think people are being unfair on gpmovies. Let him learn the ropes, just like you had to at some point...

Peace!

Yall want to really get serious...make movies for no money...and once you have about 20 of them then we'll talk about spending money on them...my step-dad made his first feature for $7000, after he had made over 30 shorts, and the only reason it was that expensive is cuz he shot on film...i can guarantee that none of you will make it big by pulling some feature out of your ass that costs $10000 or $8000 or whatever...and if you don't know what you are doing and have no experience then i must say...you have no choice but to fail....no amount of money can make a movie by unexperienced people look good...
