problem playing videos

i cant play any windows media or divx or anything like that format videos. the only thing i can play is quicktime format. Do i need an upgrade or something? i think it says i have the hightest version of WMP for my platform... (win98) Can u help?

Do you have the divx player/codec?

you didn't download windows media polayer 9 did you. I don't think it will work with 98 and it takes over everything so you pretty much have to do a system restoration to get rid of it.

okay... i did try the divx codec, but it still opened in WMP...
and i didnt download wmp9, thts only 4 WIN98SE...

i tried winamp, but it only played sound 4 me...

im not sure, but i think i might have fixed the problem by setting realone player to default...
