Hey there

Any chance of a list of what the plug-ins are going to be? It's cool that you've considered i-movie in all this.

Hey there- very glad to see some iMovie support. I was just wondering if any thought had ever gone into making some of the original effects from AlamDV (lightsaber, blaster, force lightning, etc...) into plug-ins for iMovie. Maybe a plug-in that would allow AlamDv plugins to work in iMovie. Just a thought.
Love the work so far, keep it up.

It would be very nice if I could transfer some of the AlamDV effects into an iPlugin, however the interface for these plugins is very sparse. I only have 3 sliders and one coordinate (x,y) in which to play with for each effect. So A lightsword would be possible, but no way of placing the quad (as that would be four coordinates), and also it is hard to change the effect per frame like you can currently do in AlamDV at the moment. Also it would be difficult to bring up a dialogue box for you to load images etc... Let alone get the images onto the frame. I'd have to rewrite iMovie razz

ANyway if any of you can think up some more effects i'd love to hear your ideas!!

Another problem, as schwar explained in better detail in another topic, is that the new programs will be far too sophisticated to ever work as plugins for other programs. All the other programs would do is limit them unnecessarily.

I was just reading a few of the posts, and many of you are wondering how to use AlamDV with iMovie. I have been using iMovie for a year now, and can use AlamDV with it. Just wondering why you guys can't figure it out.
In fact, now that I'm using Final Cut Pro 3, I'm finding it harder to use AlamDV with it, than I am with iMovie, so I end up using iMovie as a bridge between the two programs. It works quite nicely.
Another wonderful program to use with iMovie is located at Virtix.com.
I got a lot of my plugins from there, and handle the more sophisticated effects with AlamDV2.

I'd like to see a plug in for Vegas 4.0. It's the most stable NLE I'ver used and has a very popular following. I would really like to see one done for Vegas.

Rene, if you are suggesting that CSB make a program like iPlugins for Vegas I would say they will most likely never do that. I cannot speak on behalf of them, but I am sure that you would find that Vegas may be too expensive for some (even though I dont know its pricing).

I don't think CSB are open to suggestions for making plugins for other companies' software, but they dont need to anyway as their new products coming out will be better than anything in other software.
