you should think of what you should do with them first. Imagine if we sat here making plug-ins for you without any use.

I ment i will try to make some too. I didn't mean after someone puts effort into a plugin i wouldn't know what to do with it. Although i am not very good at creating plugins i know how to and have done it several times. Anyway i would use em for a Halo fanfilm i'm working on.

now, when you say Halo, are you talking about the video game or the little ring above someones head?
It would also be helpful if you told us what you want to be done if it is the video game your talking about.

I mean the video game. To be specific, i need some stills of the master cheif, soldiers, Covenant, Cortana and possibly an animation of the ringworld Halo spinning.
I don't even know how to make an animated plugin and hardly get it right when i do a still, so any help would be great. Even just one thing would help!

Umm... i beleive your looking for a 3d program. Alamdv is not an easy way around spending money for 3d work. Alamdv is for 2d extra things in a scene, not things that make the scene. So i would suggest using a 3d program like 3ds Max, Maya, or even blender for this. See, cause if we made it into a plugin for alam it would basically make a 3d animation into a 2d thing. And also no one can possible know how you are going to use them, what angles etcetera, so if we made plugins it would just not be right. If you got some meshes for a 3d application, then you could match them perfectly to what was happening in real life.

well, go to www.google.com
or something and search for "Halo 3ds models". then just import them into you're 3d software. I cant give you any tips on how to animate it... cause i too am new to it but... at least this is a start.

You know whats really funny, is that i requested some Halo plugins like a year and a quarter ago, and they never got made, even though someone said that they would. But now i notice that I would never have done anything with them if i had gotten them. I am so very glad that no one wasted their time. And besides, I think that when you are making fanfilms, you really have to be ambitious, but i think that making a Halo movie might be a little too ambitious, unless the entire thing were to be created using a 3d program. Stick to what you know dude...... and if you feel that you are up to the challenge of making a Halo film, the more power to you. I am seriously proud to be able to be in the same forums with amazingly ambitious people such as yourself. Good luck!!!

ah yes, i remember that discussion about them. I believe the reason people haven't made the vehicles for example, is that they'd be useless. Unlike some of the 3d plugins, that could help people, the halo vehicles would need to be more interactive - for example, the ability to get INTO the warthog - also they'd be in dodgy real-time gfx, which are no match for rendered images made for films...
Unless you are able to find the meshes for the vehicles - which is unlikely - then you won't be able to get a decent plugin, would be much kewler to stick loadsa cardboard to a car and paint it up to look pretty

yeah TMM, I havent been on these forums in like 8 months, but i remember you were making a movie and you needed all of these meshes for a city...... o well, i remember you
But yeah you know what'd be a corny ass way to do a movie, but it would still work is to just maybe film inserts of yourself in a jeep, then record the game halo..... it would be cheap as hell, but if you did it right, it could be really comedic and cool.
